Keep Avalon Beautiful!

Let’s take pride in our neighborhood this spring!

Remember to do regular maintenance on your home and yard to keep our community attractive and safe, including:

    Power washing of homes
    Pruning bushes and mowing lawns
Removing tree branches that obscure streetlights
Replacing mailbox numbers to be visible on the right side of the street
Repairing or replacing mailboxes with no doors or with rust

Recommended companies for mailbox work:

Foxy Box Mailbox Makeover LLC on Facebook (affordable and efficient)
    Old South Ironworks, LLC, oldsouthironworks@gmail.com, 803-295-2748, 803-331-4367.

Yard of the Month Resumes

Beginning in April, one yard will be recognized as Yard of the Month for its beauty, great improvement or amazing holiday decorations. Winners chosen by the committee (Renee Downs, Connie Jones, and Vicky Yandle) will receive a gift certificate for $15 and will have the Yard of the Month sign in their front yard which will be pictured on our website and our Facebook page.

Revision of Avalon Covenants

Our board has given their revisions of our 30-year-old covenants to a local lawyer for review and will mail them to all Avalon residents soon. We will vote on them at our annual meeting or there will be a ballot in the envelope with the covenant revisions that residents can fill out and place in the newspaper box at 500 Wilts Ct. If there is majority approval, they will be officially changed and registered with the Lexington County.

ANNUAL HOMEOWNER'S MEETING  Tuesday, April 23 at 6:30 pm.

Please mark your calendars for our annual HOA meeting on Tuesday, April 23 at 500 Wilts Ct. starting at 6:30 pm. All homeowners are urged to attend and bring lawn chairs

We will be electing a new treasurer (please consider running for this crucial position!) and a vice president as board members for the next two-year term. At this meeting Mat will go over our yearly budget and we will discuss what we have accomplished in the past year as well as looking forward to next. There will be open discussion at the end and you may  voice any concerns for our community.  It would be helpful to email them to the board in advance at: theboard@avalonhoasc.com.
