April 2023

Save the NEW Date:  Annual HOA Meeting on April 25

Our annual meeting will be on Tuesday, April 25 at 6:30 pm at 145 Sandstone Road (empty lot near the 4-way stop).  Pizza and beverages will be served.  Please RSVP by Monday, April 24 to theboard@avalonhoasc.com so enough can be ordered.  Since the meeting will be outside, please bring lawn chairs for your family members who will be attending.

We will be voting for two board members (president and secretary), asking for new committee members, and taking a vote on possible changes to our Declaration of Covenants. Nomination forms, proxies, and additional info will be mailed to all homeowners in a couple of weeks.

Would you be interested in serving as a member of our board? We meet once a month on the first Tuesday. Executive Session starts at 6:30 pm and General Session at 7:00 pm, usually finishing by 8:00. We would love for you to join us! If you are interested and would like more information, please contact a board member at theboard@avalonhoasc.com who will give you the job description and answer any questions.

Newly Assigned Deputy Sheriff

Deputy Elliott Rhodes attended our March HOA meeting and plans to come to our annual HOA meeting on April 25 so he can meet the Avalon residents who attend. His phone number is 803-407-6125 (available during business hours.) For emergencies/any suspicious activity in Avalon after business hours and on weekends, call the Lexington County Sheriff: 803-785-8230, ext. 1.

Spring Yard Sale April 22, 2023

Avalon residents can prepare items they want to sell at our next neighborhood yard sale (in their driveways and/or garages) on Saturday, April 22, which is the week after spring break.

No HOA Meeting in Early April

Due to our annual meeting on Tuesday, April 25, we will not have our usual HOA meeting on the first Tuesday of next month.  If you would like to see something changed or added to the budget or have other concerns, please email the board at theboard@avalonhoasc.com.
Our next regular monthly meeting will be on Tuesday, May 2, when newly elected board members will begin their duties.
