Annual Assessment
Each homeowner in Avalon should have received the annual assessment notice by mail earlier this month. The amount is $110, which is an increase of $10 from recent years. Payment should be received no later than Sunday, July 31 to prevent penalties.
Checks should be made payable to Avalon Homeowners Association with the homeowner’s street address in the memo line and mailed to Avalon HOA, P.O. Box 2473, Irmo, SC 29063. Receipts for checks will be placed by board members in newspaper boxes.
Venmo payments are also available, which incur a $2.23 convenience fee and include an immediate receipt electronically. You must submit your payment for $112.23. The fee is not added on. You must add it.
Direct bank account transfers are not allowed unless written permission is obtained from the Board because those payments cannot be tracked sufficiently.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to a board member at theboard@avalonhoasc.com.
Revision of Avalon Covenants
Many of our covenants are outdated from the establishment of our community in 1993. A summary of them is listed on our website. If you would like to give input regarding revisions, direct them to theboard@avalonhoasc.com. They welcome your recommendations.
Facebook Posts
Avalon residents are welcome to post on Facebook and the Board is not in charge of it. Everyone needs to keep these parameters in mind:
The purpose of our Facebook group is for community members to share information. It is not for individual disputes. We should not use inappropriate language, target specific individuals by name, or share personally identifiable information like addresses or phone numbers since this is a public group, not a private group. If you have any questions or concerns, please send a direct message, on Facebook, to either Mat Sturdevant or Brandi Jo.
