Avalon Annual Meeting on April 26

Mark your calendars for Tuesday night, April 26, at 6:30 pm for our annual meeting.  The community will hold elections for the Vice President and Treasurer positions. The Board will mail letters to every home in the community with a) notice of the annual meeting, b) an optional proxy voting form, and c) a nomination form for community members to fulfill a specific role on the board. Even community members who run unopposed will require voting to fulfill a position.

The Board will ask for a Chair or Co-Chairs for the Neighborhood Watch to liaison to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department (803-785-8230, Extension 1) and our Resident Deputy. If no community members volunteer to fulfill the Neighborhood Watch Chair or Co-Chair position, our community risks losing our accreditation as a Neighborhood Watch Community.

Please Return Updated Contact Information Form

In January, the Board distributed a form to all homes in Avalon, which requested contact information to be updated and returned to the HOA Secretary, Jane Borgstedt.  If you have any changes, please email the form specifying them to her at board@avalonhoasc.com to keep our online directory current.

New Landscaping Company

During the annual bidding process for the community landscaping contract, the Avalon board hired Palmetto Landscaping to maintain our front entrance and the message board area beginning February 14.

New Residents in Avalon

Welcome to new homeowners Shaw and Ashton James, who moved in with their three dogs to 154 Sandstone Road (at the 4-way stop) in January.

Next HOA Virtual Meeting Tuesday, March 1 at 7:00 pm
