New Resident Deputy for Avalon

At the July 3 HOA meeting, we met Deputy Kaaren Miller who has been assigned to Avalon as our Resident Deputy.  Her info is posted on our website.  We hope she can join us for events such as our annual Halloween Party to update us about current crime statistics in our area.

Deputy Miller told us about a resource:  LexisNexis® Community Crime Map which is best viewed in Internet Explorer 11+, Firefox V27+ and Chrome V30+.  It can be filtered by date, range, assaults, thefts, etc.

Changes in Our Board of Directors

Many thanks to outgoing board members who have worked hard serving Avalon for several terms each:  Charlie Smith, Cindy Peterson, and Deb Mabie.  Welcome to new board members:  Liz van Staveren, Mat Sturdevant, and Brandi Sturdevant.  Ronn Nestor will continue as the treasurer for another two-year term.

  • Drive carefully and avoid speeding.

  • Watch for walkers, cyclists, and runners day and night.

  • Come to a COMPLETE STOP at the 4-way stop.
